![]() ![]() Improvisations like disabling all effects will have bad consequences, like lower volume or even undistinguishable audio. ![]() Disabling specific things like Dolby, DTS or EAX may partially make things better. Generally, sound is harder to tweak assuming it functions relatively correctly initially. Issues like auto-volume reduction are still unfixed practically. But there are way more functionality problems. In the newer 8.X and 10 versions, it's even a worse quality (but not that of a big decrease like from XP to Vista/7). ![]() Even good tweakers like SRS lost a lot of possibilities. If sound could be considered quite of good quality in XP, in Vista and 7 it lost a lot of quality due to the multiple OS layers interfering with the actual sound card functionality. Most modern Dell computers with onboard Realtek HD audio devices have Waves Maxxaudio software pre-installed which is where you will find your Bass and Treble options instead of using the Realtek HD Audio Manager (in legacy Realtek HDA drivers) or Realtek Audio Console (in newer Realtek DCH/UAD audio drivers) because Dell chose to have Maxxaudio instead of having the options available from the Realtek audio control panel.Įdit – the one good reason why you do not have the “Enhancments” tab or option is because your Dell computer is using the newer Realtek audio drivers in UAD/DCH format rather than the older & traditional Realtek audio drivers in HDA or non-UAD / non-DCH format. Run programs such as HWInfo or Speecy to gather more information about the hardware on your Dell machine. What kind of Dell computer do you have, Cthru? ![]()
